Just picked one of these up(removable wing version)to build for a friend. I'll post pics as i go.

First of all everything came double boxed, was well packed, and arrived undamaged.

It looks great right out of the box! I especially love the pilots facial expression!

I got everything laid out on the table for inspection and all looks great. I also hooked up all electronics to test and everything is working as it should.

I started the build by measuring 15mm from the inboard side of the aileron and cutting it off to make clearance between the aileron and fuselage.

That's sweet Joe.
Gotta get me one of these.

Which motor did you end up going with?

I have a spare Omega 72g and Omega 103g motor here that I'm thinking about but not sure which one would be better for this plane.

Never found the right airframe for the smaller Omega. At only 1100kv it doesn't really spin a 11x4.7 very well, gets hot and seems a bit disapointing, and the 103g is Ok for up to 12x6 e prop or sf prop I guess.

Thanks Roger. It looks like it'll be a fun ride.

I went with the stock power combo from TH that comes with a 70g motor and 11x5.5 apc. Well i guess technically my friend went with it since this isn't my plane.

I'm looking forward to test flying it though. It looks awesome.

I hinged the ailerons, glued the counter balances, and removed the excess EPP from the counter balances. I also installed the landing gear tonight. Tomorrow i'm off work so i can hopefully knock the build out by the end of the day. I'll have to go to the LHS to get more blades, the EPP dulls the blades SUPER QUICK. I have to change the blade every 2 or 3 cuts if i want it to be clean.
