Oh Dang!! I hate to see a good airplane crashed!!! How did the wing come off in the first place? Was it the dreaded loose wing bolt? Sorry to see that dth7
Now way. It was a "badge of honor" catastrophic (albeit "Extremely" rare for an EF) failure on a high energy wall. Ironically the planned maneuver was a wall pull up to KE cross box. Only catch was the left wing failed outside the tube causing a change of plans. Turned into a KE recovery and a push around pattern. I could have flown out the tank (hindsight) but flew it around to landing. The debris hanging down hit the ground first as I was trying to roll out of KE and flare. Caught and bounced up to empanage causing cartwheel! So close. Frame was used and spent 3 years doing IMAC, freestyle and being rode hard and put up wet. Great experience for first gasser and an ending with a story and video. Priceless.
I'm glad it wasn't anything other than an airframe failure... No matter how long the airplane has flown or how many flights it has on it still tough to loose one.

True. Judgement error on my part. Pushing it too hard after all that "work" I'm sure it was weak. Can't wait to get the 91 set up and get a yellow/ blue MXS up. Love that scheme.
