Using CA really simplified skinning a wing from when I was 12 in 1958 using Testors cement that took a couple of hours to dry. I'll for, the wing tips tomorrow after the CA cures that is holding them on. and then construct the elevator and start work on the vertical stabalizer and rudder.

Worked for a couple of hours and constructed the elevators. I will let them cure tonight and sand and contour them tomorrow and construct the rudder. 2014-08-22 19.38.21.jpg2014-08-22 19.39.09.jpg2014-08-22 19.39.16.jpg2014-08-22 19.39.25.jpg

Ahhh. I'll have to see if I can find a date on my kit. Not sure how old it is since I bought it off Craigslist almost 2 years ago. I'm thinking older than yours.

I'll try and find a date on it there are no holes in the instruction booklet which leads me to believe it was a later modification. I worked a little on it this weekend and got the elevator finished and mated to the horozontal stabalizer along with getting the rudder assembled. The rudder also had holes. I almost had a problem when attaching the plywood block to the bottom of the elevator with some old epoxy i had. I guess it had gone bad and after 2 hours refused to activate so had to take back apart and clean it off with alcohol and this time used some that i bought recently and it set up . 2014-08-24 16.56.57.jpg2014-08-24 17.52.42.jpg2014-08-24 18.08.12.jpg2014-08-24 18.34.56.jpg

I think it was a decision later, probably to save in shipping costs or something. I've seen another build log on RCG where the control surfaces had these holes.
