Hey everyone! We have been running some tests with team Pilot Santiago Perez on our 93" Extra 330 SC and we have some news to share. Today we successfully installed a DLE 111 Twin and ran our first maiden flight with the build. We will share more details later, but for now here are some pictures of the set-up and the day at the field.

And with the cowl on, no extra cutting was needed, the cowl fit perfect.

With everything in place, we fueled her up and took her for a spin at our local Apollo Field.

With a little extra tuning at the field, now it was time to take this monster of a 330 to the field for the maiden test run.

Hey guys! So a little more info regarding this set-up.

The plane balances out very nicely with this build without any alterations or modifications. The DLE 111 Twin as mentioned in the first post was mounted with no modification and the full up flight weight fell in at about 21lbs. CG sits about dead center of the wing tube and we balanced the plane a little different by moving the rudder servo to the tail of the fuse with a pushrod set-up. The plane is designed to allow this out of the box as an alternative option so no cutting or mods needed. Also by moving the servo to the back there was no need to add weight at all to balance the plane. We used two 2S 2700 mAH LiPos to run power and standard fuel tank set-up for the gas. The batteries were positioned about the middle of the wing tube area as well.
