"Cool Guy"
Jetpainter;10414 wrote: Was this for me Brian? If so, no I didn't weigh it before. When the airplane was new it belonged to my flying buddy Tony. I bought it from another club member, so I'm the third owner. The second owner bought it as a bind and fly, but for some reason decided to rebalance it and added a weight to the engine mount that weighed just shy of three pounds! So after removing that I figured a little weight from extra paint was nothing.

This was some "Bling" I didn't need!

40% happier than most folks.
Thank you Jet, and yes it was for you. Next time I take the cowl off my compy ill take a pic of the giant fishing weights that are solidly glued in place with epoxy and lead shot. Have a new cowl to delete them and rebalance but havent got to it quite yet, I could only wish that it was removable like yours. Sure is a pretty bird you have there.

With all that talent at one field... someone still has to empty the trash cans... me!

I've never owned a Krill, but I always liked the way they did the canopy/cowl on some of the airframes... do you prefer them over CARF?
Will do Mike. As far as CARF's, I've never owned one...yet! I bought the Krill because it is the absolute most scale representation of the 330SC on the market. They really hit the fuse lines, canopy, gear and wing plan-form spot on. Wish they'd have done the reverse tapered ailerons like the full scale. I plan on doing a build thread in the scale section here, once the worlds are over.

Ahh... a purist among us!

Best of luck at the worlds, and most importantly, have a great time. I'll be on a golf trip to Myrtle and not keeping up with progress, but I'll check on you guys Sunday when I get back. I know you'll all do a great job.

That's kinda funny. I have one that starts just like every other engine out there. My flying buddy has one and has hell starting it. After he is about to pass out from flipping, I can get it going on one or two flips. :)

Difference is you gotta flip it like your trying to kill it.
