WOW......all these recent additions to "show us your bling" are awesome.... Looking forward to seeing more of them. LOVE that pilot dude. Hook a brother up on where and how you got it. I would really like to acquire one, or five. LOL :nodding-yes-by-a-ve

Actually, it was ordered by Steve Warltier who blinged up our PAU Extra for Top Gun. I know he ordered it from England, but I don't know the company...I just know it was pricey.

A few years ago I bought a used Comp Arf 2.3 meter Extra 330L. I thought the colors were way too blah. The yellow looked like bad cheese and the blue and maroon weren't much better so to bling it up, I sprayed a coat of silver pearl over the whole airplane. It change the whole look of the plane. The blue came alive, the yellow looks like gold pearl and the maroon changes color from every angle. Photos don't show what it looks like very well, but here's a few.

Very cool, I always love doing these kind of things, I actually shot clear coat with blue pearl over my canopy plastic to catch the sun, it doesn't pop as much as I thought it would, but still looks cool. How hard was it to spray one even coat of the silver?

The DuPont pearl is a basecoat. I scuffed up the old paint and sprayed two light coats of the pearl followed by clear. The basecoat is pretty easy to apply evenly.
