Peak Models 32% Extra 330 SC

Have you noticed the 330 seems like a bigger airframe all the way around for the same size as her counter parts. i.e., 300, 260.

Compared to the EF91 the cowl on mine is bigger in height. Like wise compared to the V1 I had. I can see that about 1.5 inches has been added to the height where the cowl fits on the fuse or F1. And I added a 1" shim block to the fuse for the LG so prop clearance would be acceptable on the V1. I don't see the entire fuse though being any larger than the EF 91" 300. I understand what you mean though. Yeah, "overall" the moments on the 330sc are a bit more exaggerated than say the 260 and 300. On my EF 104 I thought the tail section was a bit undersized compared to the rest of the fuse.

I definitely like my old covering scheme better though that was on the V1......:yesss:.

Stabs coming along. I normally like the elevator servos on a 50cc plane to be in the fuse for cg and ease of install. But I do have to say this V2 has a much better servo well in the stab over the V1. The slot for the servo arm is much better too. Also all of the openings in the covering on the whole plane have already been done :). The servo install was quite easy on this one.

Very nice Kelly. I must say I am very impressed.

Going to fix me a Bacon Cheeseburger for supper while the glue sets up. For dessert I'll halves together some easy cake .

Me too Rob. For a budget priced ARF the construction is top notch. Cosmetic improvement would probably fetch a higher price but it too is not all that bad.

Oh! And I have been fixing you one too......Just eating it for you that's all .

Tomorrow I will finish the stabs and affix to the fuse.......

Stabs/Elevators are done but a piece of lazer cut wood that helps hold the left stab in place is missing from construction from the factory.

Top Notch construction??? I spoke too soon .

Wing panels done which means PLANE IS DONE! Let's hope not "done for" . As it is now with batteries all the way forward, and the added 8oz of weight my stand offs made, the plane balances at 6.5 inches from the LE. The manual states 6 and 2/5" for 27% MAC so I think it is going to be neutral. Weighed it with a full tank and as I expected 19.25 pounds. Plan on a Maiden Tomorrow.

Although I did not get the scheme I wanted and a couple of minor cosmetic / construction issues the plane is a real steal for its price point.
It is better in construction and parts fit than the V1. I got the V1 flying really well so let's hope this V2 does too :). The DL50 is no DA70 like I had in V1 but I think it will do OK!

You know the saying "Measure twice cut once" as I'm sure you all do.....Glad I did because the plane was tail heavy and the scale I had was not reading correctly. I mustered up some fresh 9volts for the scale and double checked the cg. The numbers given for the cg (6 and 2/5th's inch from LE) is actually measured from the LE at the side of the fuse as per manual. Not at the center section of the wings. So I was a tad off originally. To my surprise the weight was also off. I added 8oz weight inside the motor box and it balanced ever so slightly nose down at the recommended point and the weight is a whopping 20 pounds dry! This chunky monkey going to be 21lbs 2oz at take off! I also measured the wing span and it is actually 90 and 5/32nd's with the SFG on. This planes size and weight is very similar to the EF91". I think a bigger engine is going to get installed but will fly with the DL50 for now. I am trying something different with pictures. My phone camera sucks so I used my video recorder and made pics from it on my lap top. Here are some samples. Let me know if you think the resolution and picture quality is improved....
