i am going to install the Rx and the throttle servo. i do not like the control horns on this airplane. some of them are loose. i know that the post type horns, on this airframe, are thru a hard point on the surface. if this is wide enough, i will try to install the aeroworks aluminum horns that would allow me to use 6 screws to fix them, and then i can use 2 ball links per turnbuckle. it will be a more solid construct.

wow, i found this airplane's build thread. it was started 2005 and it was completed in January 2006. so that makes the airplane about 8 years old. last time this airplane was in the air was in 2008. that makes it 6 years in Storage!!! Ouch!!! pray for me!!!
i have removed the post horns from the stabs/elevators and installed these Aeroworks control horns, which are just awesome!! except the screws that come with it, which plain old suck and are poor quality. i ended up using the screws from the RTL fasteners sets. these screws have incredible purchase, and probably the reason why the aeroworks screws stripped in the heads. i also like how these will be more to the center of the hinge line compared to the post horns that were on there before.
canister is installed. i opened up the bottom of the fuselage some more. i will install one air dam as well to help extract the hot air out. the throttle servo is installed as well.
getting close now. all i have to do now is install the radio system and install the servos to the surfaces!!!
i also have over wrapped the headers with the mcmaster carr teflon tape, and then covered it more with the standard teflon tape from Lowes.
