I would like to use wing fairings like the one in this pic. Any ideas as to what material would be best to make this from......plastic ?.....aluminum ?

All suggestions and advice welcome.

Are you adding these for looks? If your struggling with the aluminum I would leave it out.
I think if it bent down ever and cut or mared the covering you would be pretty upset. Just the one wing panel takes 2 rolls of ultracote.
I like the hinges you got for the doors!

Well after 3 failed attempts to get this to look right, this what I have so far. Still not completely happy with it but it may have to suffice.

Your opinions ???

What exactly are you unhappy with? They look pretty good in the pics.

The main issue I had was the fairing made it difficult to slide the wing into place but I had built a fairing that went completely around the stub wing. After looking at some full scale photos I noticed that on some aircraft the fairing is only around the top the wing. Once I eliminated the bottom portion of the fairing the wing slipped into place easily. After I cover the wing I will decide whether or not to use the fairing.

Not much accomplished this past week due to other committments. Managed to get the tail pieces covered as well as mounting the fuel and smoke tanks.
