I would stay away from "bonded" mounts if your gonna 3d your plane. I've never had good luck with bonded dampeners in the street car hobby, I'd hate to see engine separate during a fast tip spin.

Firewall is okay, the gear cuffs, prop and one wheel pant, not so much. Ordered replacement wheel pants and gear cuffs and have a new prop on the plane, just haven't had time to fly it again.

Got new SWB stand-offs ordered yesterday afternoon, hopefully they will fix my problem!!

Got the standoffs Friday, gonna put them in this evening and try and fly it tomorrow if the weather cooperates, FINGERS CROSSED that this fixes my problems!!

New standoffs are in!!



Can't try them tomorrow as I'll be flying for work all day (I know rough life) but should be able to give them a try Thursday.. At the very least they look better to me!!

Okay, so I thought I'd go ahead and get a Support thread for the 50cc Extra going.

And to start, I have a question.

I'm running a DLE 55 in mine and I cannot seem to get the engine to stay tight on the firewall. I'm using the standard DLE stand-offs and needed to add another 1/2 inch ply spacer to get the spinner back plate out where it needs to be.

So what stand-offs are you guys using? Is the Ply spacer I'm using the problem? I looked at the SWB stand-offs but I'm pretty sure they are too short.

Has anyone put a Da 70cc twin in this plane? Since this plane has been around for some time is it due for and up date or is it going out of production soon? Thank you all for your time.

I have a DA-70 in mine. It fits in the cowl with no extra holes.

This plane has been very successful, and there is no plan for an update at this time.
