Discussion 100cc setup

That sounds like a nice unit how does it compare to the smart-fly stuff? Also what kind of batts are you running and how many flights are you getting.
forgive all the questions but this is my first 100cc plane and I want to get the right stuff to try to avoid mechanical failures.

It compares favorable IMHO. I've had both, and I honestly like the sturdy and rigid case of the RCCSKJ better. Add in the display, and you're set for half the price. The built in OPTO kill isn't as convenient to use, however I prefer the tech aero anyway, so that's what I use.
With 7 brushless servos, I could get 6 flights on 2x 2600 LiPo or LiIon.

%#Futaba BLS172HV= WOW! $250 a pop. Insane! 7x$250=$1750

If you are a member of their super saver club there is a nice discount and free shipping with Tower Hobbies. I recently ordered 8x BLS172 Futaba servos from them. They list for $219.99 each and I got them for right at $174 a piece DELIVERED. Well worth the money for serial bus and 514 in. ozs. of brushless torque. ;) They ROCK.

I'm not so good that I need the fastest or highest torque so while I don't skimp on quality I do on speed and torque a bit because frankly I don't need it.

By the way.... The setup above rocks for me and my skill level. I absolutely love the Smart-Fly EQ6 and the Savox servos!

Yup... I am currently running 6v out of the Smart-Fly powerboard. When I change the elevator servos out I will be at 7.4 all around.

Some guys do run these at 7.4 but I would rather not chance it.
