    Glassing and Painting techniques

    My lightest combo for painting is 3/4 oz cloth over sanding sealer sealed balsa applied with Minwax Polycrylic. Then water based paint covered with automotive clear coat. Very light and looks a lot better than plasticote.

    Used is the way to go but location is usually the issue there. A 35% rtf plane is often as low as $1800.

    Plane Restraint

    We have a concrete pad poured with variable width holes available that are sized for steel construction stakes. The stakes have pool noodles on them for the wings. Walk your plane to the pad, select the proper holes for the stakes and remove them when you are ready.
