    What beer ya drinking tonight?

A lot of baseball this weekend, plus an afternoon of flying yet I still squeezed in a few hours at the neighborhood pool today. You bet I had a couple (Bell's).

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

The owner, Don, loves classic pattern planes like me so we've known each other for years. I have several of his fiberglass pattern kits (Atlanta, Phoenix 8, UFO) and they are the fiberglass fuse, foam wing, stab cores and the hardwoods for inside the plane. The Cub is wood, cowl and plans...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

A five game weekend for my son's baseball team but today's tournament location was 20 minutes from the airfield. All I could do was hope/not hope they lose the 2nd game and they did. Left immediately for the field and flew all afternoon. What a great day.

    3W low end question

Headed to the field tomorrow so will play with the idle a bit. AI rebuilt the carb not too long. This engine runs fine except for low idle so not a carb issue.

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

Not a lot to report as this build has slowed down a lot due to my son's baseball schedule but I made the flip of the plans. Right side of wing building starts tonight.

    3W low end question

I am going to look at the manual on adjusting the low needle. But will have to wait until the weekend.

    3W low end question

It dies at low idle. I have now dialed my trim and my sub trim all the way up. Almost had it as the 106 was idling super low on the ground but eventually it will die. I will adjust the throttle rod and back of on the trims but I need the idle to be consistent, dead stick landings are not as fun.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Instead of a pub crawl or a neighborhood man cave crawl we need to do a hobby room crawl. Someone puts together a kit complete package and we all ascend to the cave and knock the build out. And we work for beer

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

No on the extended length (Max), I kept my F350 Superduty (long bed and 4 door) so not a lot of need for additional room. It's showing 16-17 mpg on average but is still very new. About $70k in the Limited version, i have no idea what a mini van would cost.

    3W low end question

My ultra reliable 106 is not holding low idle. Need to adjust the low needle I suppose so starting here for advice.

    What beer ya drinking tonight?

A couple of bell's 2 hearted ales tonight while my wife tried to grill burgers. Then another one to wash down the overcooked beef. .... She tried.

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

I am ashamed to admit but i finally put a plane in the air this year. Our 350 member club lost its lease last year and I joined a newer smaller club this year. I haven't made it up there until today due to my son's busy baseball schedule. Anyway, a much smaller field and still rough around...
