Question: How many people here have WON a DA Engine??

Gotcha, we were right next to Herve with Spats and Planebender. My only huck for the year will be Lodi, there seems to be a lock of hucking events going on this time of year and I can only plan to attend one, maybe 2. Next years agenda looks like it might be the Black Hills huck along with Lodi.

Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

Will definitely notice a difference compared to the Zippy packs, my 55C TP pack didn't sag at all throughout my flight and came down around 3.8v after 6 minutes of low and slow shenanigans. This pack shouldn't even break a sweat!!

Speaking of which, ThunderPower sent me a NEW 70C Magna today in place of my failed 55C Lightning. I'm pretty stoked about that, needless to say- AND they even fitted an EC5 to the main leads since my old pack had an EC5 on it!!!!! This is why I buy Thunder Power packs, and support Thunder...

On anything this large, I always solder the ESC and motor together, no bullet connectors. I remember a couple buddies of mine from the beginning days of giant scale electrics doing testing on bullet connectors vs directly soldering and they found decreased performance and efficiency when using...

Tried my hand at fiberglassing some plywood parts yesterday and friday afternoon, not sure why it seems so intimidating, it was relatively easy.

120* of throw is standard for all Hitec digital servos. If you are not experiencing that amount of control throw then it may be an issue with your setup. If you program them to normal mode rather than high resolution mode you will see lots of jumping in the control movement due to it tuning the...

Straightened out the aileron last night with the assistance of my new dremel (stupid airplanes making me buy more tools......... :oblong::D ). Now onto the rudder. Not pictured is the strips of CF I glued inside of the TE to strengthen that section. She is super strong. Cowl (lurking in the...

Spent a decent amount of time repairing the elevator last night. Only had 30 minute epoxy to glue with, so it came out pretty strong. Re-enforced it with some scrap CF rod I had hanging around the shop.

Yeah but it wasn't through fault of my own, it was out of human control. I started on the elevator last night, she's back to about 90%, need to pick up some more glues and materials today to finish it up. Will start on the aileron today as well.

Got to put the 35% Yak under the knife today. Had a little incident this past weekend and now have a damaged elevator counterbalance, crumpled aileron tip, and cracked rudder. Cowl got a little runway rash and broke the ring, but our runway is a geotextile material so some buffing compound had...
