AJ Laser 230z 73" Build Thread
Throttle curves in your transmitter will help to smooth out the midrange but can make a very sudden and often ballistic top end power range. Mechanical curves are really the only way to overcome this issue.- Xpress

Try and set your servo up so that it has a mechanical curve built into the throttle linkage, it really smooths things out and makes the throttle feel way more linear.- Xpress

Little more work on the Laser tonight. Chad Wilson at TDRC coming through with the goods as always! Cut out the holes in the fuselage for everything, and ran the extensions to the tail. Tucked the excess wire into the servo tray. Epoxied control horns into the rudder. And got the...- Xpress

I will have to cut a hole beneath the carb to let fuel drip out into the open. Carburetors will always spit some fuel after choking, regardless of engine brand, or tune. Nothing major last night, just glued control horns to the stabs and cut out the servo pockets. Using my iron set to 600F I...- Xpress

Only a little bit of work on the 115 this weekend, I fitted blind nuts to the back of the firewall (makes removing the engine SO easy when building the airplane (since the engine goes on and comes off 10 times during the whole assembly)) and bolted the cuffs and wheel pants on. You still can't see where the fuel inlet is, those tricks only work if you know where the hole needs to be beforehand ;)- Xpress

The theory is sound, however the laser pointer trick works because you can actually see the needle locations beforehand, and point the laser right on them. With finding the hole for the fuel inlet, it's a complete guess as you can't really see exactly where it's at prior to drilling a hole. Now...- Xpress

Back to it last night. Wind was blowing and the air temps were plummeting so I didn't get much done. The carb hole is all cleaned up. All of our brushless servos are 4096 resolution. I can already tell you that there is no servo on the market today that can hold a candle to the HSB-9380TH.
