Somebody buy this plane from me before I start mod'n everything for freestyle! haha I want to get onto another review plane anyway, so I'm selling this one and my H9 Sukhoi. :)

Only 4 gallons of synthetic through the motor so far. A long way from being broken in. But, the power started to come up on the last flight tonight. It'll make a lot more power once it has 20 gallons through it. Still haven't taken the time to put any coupling mixes in, it has some coupling...

Yeah, I went from a really nice flying field in NorCal to a really nice flying field in SoCal. :)

I'm getting an error on that link. Nice project!

Yeah... I never flew the 122", but I loved my 104"... maybe my favorite plane.

Yeah, my first Aeroworks 150cc 260 with the suggested wing mods was kinda heavy, but my second one with the newer wings flew light (on a DA-150 on pipes)... the one with Monkey flying it:

Another thought on weight... that I've repeat many times through the years... you can't make a planer lighter doing one thing... if you really want it lighter you have to do everything. An ounce here or there makes no difference at all on a plane this size. But, 10 different 20z deductions (3oz...

I tend to ramble... here's the math I was thinking of: 12oz - DA vs 3W (guesstimate) 40z - 5cell Nicad pack I have taped to the tail (also guesstimate) 4oz - Pilot (might be 5oz installed) 2oz - sanding down the motor spacer (I can definitely do that, I've done it before, I could...

What's a TOC? ... hehe... that was then and this is now!... it's 2015, brother! haha 35lbs (with cans and smoke!) 122" planes that are impossible to break in the air... you can do it! haha (hey guys, we can't give these manufacturer's any slack, haha) But, yeah, seriously, Aeroworks planes have...

Well, there's that 5cell NiCad pack that can be removed from the tailwheel! haha Also, I've got a 3W-170 on there, they are 1/2 to 3/4 lbs heavier than a DA-170. I wanted to know exactly and not trust the advertised weights, but I forgot to weigh the 3W. I'll weigh it eventually when I'm doing...

Okay, on my bathroom scale the plane weighed 38.5lbs (setting it on the scale on the prop bolts with the spinner cone next to it). And, 39.5lbs when I weighed myself, then stepped on the scale holding the plane and subtracted the difference. Oh, either way that is with the 5cell Nicad pack still...

Hi Earle! I do feel lonely, though! Isn't anyone else putting one of these together right now? Chime in, would you? haha

No, I haven't weighed any planes this year. I used to have a postage scale I had calibrated. It was a great reference because all the planes I built were weighed on it the same way. I might try just weighing this on the Jenny Craig bathroom scale we have. haha I just moved the batteries back to...

Thanks guys! Will try to get video of more of a variety of maneuvers, and with a higher quality camera, soon! :) I did do some rolling circles and snaps on that flight, but Ryan did best with the camera when I wasn't moving very fast. haha Side note, I really should try to get this CS broken in...

Oh, and 4) slows down good for landing and the wings do not want to tip... the wing tips are very stable while hovering or harriering.

Some observations: 1) the plane, she is nose heavy, just about right for precision, but maybe even a little nose heavy for that. If you're thinking about a DA-200 you definitely gotta go push/pull rudder and move everything back as far as possible. I might even have to do that. haha I taped a...

Yeah... with the same packs I was running with 7950s and getting four flights and then charging to FULL showing 2200mah going back in... to now running 9380s and charging after eight flights to FULL showing 800mah going back in. :O Looks like I could easily go 20 flights on these 3800 LiPos...
