The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Well tried again tonight. Engine is drawing fuel. Battery checks good at 8.36v and 8.10v on a 1 amp load. Got the engine to pop a few times but never run.im afraid my ignition or hall sensor is bad. Which sucks because 3 months ago it ran just fine before I hung it up.

I actually went flying! Got my PAU/BME ultimate in the air after some misgivings with the cabanes being bent and the engine wanting to kick back. Unfortuenatly my PAU Edge would not start. Never once did I get it to pop. All indications at the field showed it was getting fuel and and...

Well the fingers are about 1/2 healed. I went golfing twice and did ok. Since both injuries were on the fingerprint area and deep they are still sore when you push on them (makes holding a golf club hard). My deck is now ready for the top planks as well. I went in the shop to...

So far both my middle fingers are still a little numb at the tips. Probably some nerve damage. I may try to go flying this weekend though. I'll be starting my plane with a paint roller for now.

Nothing, nada, zilch. Lets see.....kids are finishing school and getting ready to leave for the summer to my ex wife (not sure how I feel about that). I was doing landscaping and dropped a 20lb stone on my finger and blew it apart....3 stitches. Then I started to install my huge deck that...

Well a few weeks ago I couldn't get my biplane started. And when it tried it would kick back. Engine is a 3w106 with cactus ignition. (Rcexel basically). Plane hsnt flown in a year. I swapped dubro tank with PAU tank and all new lines. Well at the field I found my batts were not holding a...

Not much to update. So had my back and heel issues. They resolved after about a week. Then I took my daughters to Disney World (their first trip). I was going to work on the plane this weekend but we had a wind storm and I lost 3 trees (no home damage though!). So I was cleaning that up...

Strange indeed. Make sure to hold that connection down so it takes that out of the equation

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I've seen that happens when the covering is stretched too thin or if you happened to have gotten an old roll (where it gets brittle). You could have had a small hole as well and the pressure ripped it larger. Also, that is right where your connection is for the servo. Maybe it bounced around...
