The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

All I have to say the weather has really turned cold and I have turned the heating on today. And I have removed the stabilizerof the Stick 150 and moved down to the workshop. It will clean the plane and remove batteries and check it over and fix or repair what ever is needed. In the next week or so.

This is our last week at the neighborhood pool.

I like 'em "BIG"!
Not possible the @stangflyer will beat you to it every time and I belive he has a secret army searching the world for 3W CS engines.

That figures as I never see them for sale. They always pop up here after he purchases them.

Rob, shouldn't you start a thread more like what 3W engine the postman brought me?
Lol... I have actually successfully taught my little Pop-Top to read and operate my laptop. (He'll do anything for a Scooby snak) lol. He stays at home while I am at work and he searches the internet for possible CS offerings. The Mighty Dub gods shine down just at the right time. He sends me a text, and I scope it out.

Seriously though... I just happen to come across them at the right time. If only the post office knew what was in those big brown packages. (I don't trust the big brown trucks) I am sure they would think I am running a side line business or something. LOL.

Still running mine too. But it does seem to be cooling off a bit here lately. Damn Mr. Winter is right around the corner. I think that is just rude of him. Doesn't he know I have 3w engines to run and Behemoth sized planes to fly? Seriously dude.... cut a guy some slack. LOL
Got all my new or rebuilt planes into the air this year except one. I guess it will be flowen next season. What I have found out that I can only manage to fly 5 planes a year. That is fly them maintain them and if new get up in the air and make th necessary changes until it fly’s good and is maintainable.

Have to agree winter is just at the door step. Just doing some things in the shop and will start the Stick 85 cleanup. Just sitting around in the shop trying to think of what to build. I do not want to build another 3D plane have enough of those for a while. I keep looking at an very old kit I have it is GP 33% 330L extra, really scale and it will never be able to do 3D but from what I have read very good at precision flying, the only thing that is missing is the gear but from what I have read it was big heavy and out right ugly. So still pondering my options and time is running out.

I feel the same way, I need to make some kind of decision what to build. I want to something scale and use my DA50. I've done quite a bit of searching and there just isn't a lot of plans for planes out there that would fly well with the 50. Everything is either too big or to small for it. Jerry Bates plans has a few Warbird plans that the DA50 would work in, but then I'm investing $500 in retracts that I don't really want to spend. :face-palm:

Bought a set of Bates P-51B plans two years ago and haven’t touched them. Well I unrolled them and drooled, but other than that, haven’t touched them. If you’re interested in building a Mustang for your DA50, send me your address, and I’ll mail them to you.
