Dear Ryan, The ZTW "auto" timing function applies to all multipole (>6) outrunners. The other settings are for low pole (like 6 w/ a kv in the 3000+ range DF motor), and 16 is for a 2 Pole inrunner. It has to do with the theoretical rpm limit of a motor driven by 3 phase. The ESC's internal...- TMO

If you're going with 4S-6S I would personally choose the 115A SBEC. If you are going 6S your amperage will stay correspondingly low, but on 4S you want 100A+ capability for sure. I recommend the SBEC because I like having a sold state throttle when I use HV digital servos with my transmitter...- TMO

I believe so. The throttle response is firmware based- not a result of the particular components. The ZTW guys hang their hats on throttle linearity, and they definitely did not introduce throttle curves like the castle v2's, nor would they mess with their bread and butter.
