Picked up this Great Planes Super Sportster 40 from a buddy this morning at work @wecoyote Has an Enya40 on the nose and JR servos inside. Motor is currently soaking in some glow fuel to see if it will free up. Will throw some heat at it in the morning after a overnight soak. Now I'm thinking the bottom of the wings need either some stripes or checkers to liven it up a bit. What does everyone vote.

If it was mine, I'd slap a couple large skulls on the bottom of the wings.:D

Oh, man. Put an OS46AX with a Macs pipe and let it breathe. Years ago I had a LA Racer with a 46/pipe and my buddy had a Super Sportster with a 46/pipe. We would race about 4 ft off the ground and then break out and chase each other through Immelmans and Split-es. Sooooooo much fun and lost a few air frames. We called it the Rabbit Run because he got too low and cartwheeled spooking a big rabbit out of some tall grass.

I added a black pin stripe between the white and holographic chrome stripe on the fuse, wings and stabs. masked off the cowl and started the white paint. Also the pilot and wheel pants. I was having a lot of trouble getting paint to spray right and as it turns out a math error (doh) was the cause. I was instructed to mix paint and catalyst 1:1 then mix with reducer 1:1. I was mixing 2 Oz. of paint with 2 Oz. of catalyst. Then 2 Oz. of reducer. I should have been adding 4 Oz of reducer. I managed to get a couple of coats on and have sanded and prepped for a third when it warms up a little.

I replaced some wood in the fuse and built a new radio platform. Then I covered it all with some Missile Red vinyl.

I applied stickers and stripes to the pilot and masked off the harness straps for some missile red paint which the wifey is applying as I type.

My drawers arrived and I assembled them, glued them together, and then installed the pencil drawers slides.

It was then stained and installed. I still need to do the other one, but that was a feat on its own! There will be two of them, but ran out of time.
Hard work to do by one self.

Dang, that is really nice Robert. Sooo, I don't suppose your wifey wants to paint another pilot bust huh?? LOL.... That Suk is going to be one heck of a nice change of pace from the original. :way_to_go:

You think you might also add the tail gear fairing like the full scale?
