Here are the color codes provided by the full scale owner. When I had the paint mixed, I believe the color name that came up was Cardinal Red.
Started masking the trim, should be ready to paint tomorrow.

Windy again here today so my painting prep will be minimal. Looking good Tony.

Put the red to it today. Had to re-mask the fin and rudder, used 1/4" fine line at first but it didn't like the corrugations. Pulled it off and used 1/8"fine line, still had a little leakage. Need to paint the white piper logo behind the rear windows and touch up some white. Then final assembly can begin.

That's what's we're hoping for! Thanks Mike! Grandsons are here overnight into tomorrow, might get another day of curing. With the color on before May 1, I'm a month ahead of schedule so who cares.

Who is your paint source?

Local autobody supply stores. The white is a PPG product and the red is a Nason product, both are acrylic enamel with hardener. I normally se PPG Omni line, their second tier and cheaper product. Of course this is all glass so auto paint works fine. Might try the paint on a fabric covering using flex agent in the future.
