This is what happens when it rains, so decided to see if I could make I nice small and light tail wheel. This is what I have, but I still do not know how I am going to connect the the tail wheel to the rudder.
Any suggestions on how to make the connection. The rudder at the hinge point is just a little over 1/8 thick.

Ok another bad day of weather so decided to see I’m i can make up some landing gear for the speed 40 size plane and this is what I can up with. Only 0.062 thick aluminium and it 6061-T6. Hopefully it is stiff enough for the application. If not I can always add another leaf as required.
I should not be posting in this thread at this time of the year I need to flying and posting about all the flying I am doing.

Having our share of rain here as well plus my aircraft carrier has a leaking head gasket, have the heads off and at the machine shop, hopefully I will have it running for a fun fly next week in Alliance Ohio. Plan to leave the front seat out and hopefully fit the Champ and the Super Cub in.

The rain has been bad and the weather people have said that the amount of rain that we have in the month of May is a record as far back as they know.
Will go to the flying field and see if it is possible to mow the field with all the rain. Still overcast and windy hopefully the rain holds off and I can get the field done.
