Well still working on the Sportster60 fuselage it is turning into quite the project. It is nice to work on an old type model Nice to have a big box of balsa wood to work with, in stead of lite plywood slabs, nice change. Will take some pictures of the sloooow progress. Still waiting for the carbon tube and sleeve which is coming from Graphtec which has moved to California and purchase by CST, we will see how it works out.

Well moving along slowly. Still only working on the fuselage. Got bottom done and in closed. The aft section is sheeted and cross grained. Added the 2 hard points for the tail wheel, found an old Clet tailwheel to install. Also added a hard wood block in the rear section for floats if I ever feel urge to go float flying or use the floats for winter flying.

Little more progress got the servo rails in and planning the fuel tank situation because the fuselage it is so narrow, having problems getting the throttle servo to work properly. Got the motor mounted and it looks like the 2 1/2 inch spinner will not work have to go bigger may be 3 inch diameter. Will see as I try make all of it fit. It like trying get 10 lbs of s**t in 5 lbs box.
Still need space for the batteries, receiver and switches?

Looking good. How about mounting the throttle servo in front of the fuel tank. Also what size tank is that 16oz. Should be able to fly all day with that much fuel on board.

The tank shown is 10 oz for a OS 120 that is not a lot of fuel, will not get 10 min out of that, 8 if I am lucky. The front end up to the second bulkhead is going to be closed in for strength. Thanks for looking and the advice always need help when you are struggling on a project.

Got the front closed in and the removable canopy made. Not looking to bad. Had to put the wheels on to see how it looks and if the big propeller has enough clearance, looks ok 15 -8 will have 21/2 inches ground clearance. Now we need to enclose the engine next. That is going to be a little troublesome. Looks like the motor mount is going to be built in. The blocks are going to be shaped around the motor mount, so that it can curve into the spinner. Good work for tomorrow the weather is not looking good for the next couple days rain again. This is like rebuilding an old muscle car with stupid big engine that should not be in it.
