@TonyHallo Yes I know what you mean. I needed to get the hot air out. Did not want to just cut 2 big holes and this is the best I could come up with at the time. It works well just difficult to to finish off nicely. will do my best when it com to finishing off the plane, fortunately it is not show plane, but still would like it to look good.

Back onto the wings, they need to be finished off. Cut the ailerons out and finished all the edges and marked the hinge locations. Cut the 4 bevel edges to be glued into the wing and onto the ailerons. Drilled the holes for the hinges into the beveled balsa edging. Just need to glue them all in and finish the edges. That’s it done enough damage for today , will start again tomorrow.

Ok it is and it isn’t part of the hobby , broke the glass plate on my work bench. The surface was rough and not workable. So cleaned up the bench and put a coat of clear on it now just have to wait for it to dry so that I can continue to build.
I have no knowledge on glass on what to get. If someone knows something about glass on what I should buy and thickness your help will be appreciated. The table is 2ft by 8ft.

Did a little work But no sanding all the dust will end up on my newly painted work bench. Anyway got the 2 wing tips glued on. Nothing fancy juts a 1/4 soft and light weight balsa so that I can put a small radius on the end. cannot justify a big piece of balsa to make a nice round wing tip, it just adds weight.

Not very interesting just started sanding the wings for covering. Sanded them down to 220. Did the light check and filled all the bad spots. Will let it dry and sand it again with 220 then wipe it down and give it a light hair spray coat and then just run 320 or 220 over it. Then run a tack rag on it and it will be ready to cover. Just forgot still have to put the leading edge radius on the wing. That needs to be done first.

I’m about ready to order a bigger piece of glass for my primary table. It’s a 8x4’ table. Tempered 1/4” glass, slight bevel around the edges. Delivered (it will be heavy), about $550.

Thanks can I ask why tempered. Ok I looked it up the glass I had was just regular glass because it broke up in to huge pieces, and was difficult to deal with. Yes I will look at getting tempered glass.
