The latest version of Phoenix that is used by many to learn 3D has been changed to version 5.5g

It is thought that physics of helicopters have not been changed; however, many have noticed large changes in the physics of planes that effect flying 3D planes.

Knife edge flight has changed greatly.
The elevator seems to be less effective.
Torque (please to not start arguing about torque we all know what I'm talking about :) ) effect has changed by a large degree. Just try a hover/prop hang.
Hover many say is too easy.
The list goes on.

Is version 5.5g a step forwards or a step back?
What do you people think?
