3DNater is right about using an OEM antenna. However, I believe with Taranis radios, you void the warranties once you start soldering. If you haven't already started, I would suggest sending it back to the factory. My friend did that when his JR 9503 had a broken gimbal and they fixed it up for a very low price!

I had thought of the warranty issue but based on the fact that he is in India I figured shipping it back and forth would cost about as much as the radio, not to mention the wait time. With that said, I do not know where the manufacturer is, or where the nearest Taranis service center is.

Very true. The solder shouldn't be too hard so I'd try it and if it doesn't work, call in and see if you can get a replacement for the transmitter.

Assume you want a stable platform that is reasonably durable?

What payload of camera and electronics?

Flight duration?

Looking at the three you have mentioned I am wondering what the application of such a plane would be for?

Hi Mike and thanks for the welcome, my name is Elvis Olm. I've been flying for around 12 years. Now I fly in Nahville, TN and before I flew in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico for around 8 years. I fly a Hangar 9 Beast 120cc and a Hangar 9 Sukhoi. This is a great site with a lot of info when I need some help. I use quite often the training videos! :flyer:
