Late intro! Hey guys....thanks for having an intermediate flyer on board amongst all you pros. I provide the comic relief at the field with "frequent erasers" so I have a hanger but have been flying a Carbon Z Splendor on 6S that, for me, is AWESOME. I also have a 48" EF 540 EDGE EXP to erase; a PA BANDIT on the way from AU and BIG THANKS to GYRO for finding me a 58" 3DHS EDGE to build and crash.

I had the best time last Sat as the Club president let me fly his 120 CC Wild Hare for a minute(I was soiling my shorts and kept her way high as not to crash her) but I just think this sport has the best people who are friendly, helpful and Saturday is the day I live for when I get to go hang out with people that know more(most) about RC and mentor me and there is just a few that are less experienced but it is amazing how an 8 hour day can pass so fast(lot of Nitro futzing about then 10 minutes flying...LOL) and you can just come home and reflect on what a fantastic sport. Anytime I erase an AC I jsut load up a YOUTUBE vid of a 20K Turbine Jet augering in and I feel better..LOL....

Anyway..everyone here has been fantastic and just a big thanks to all you guys for propagating this sport and helping out the newbs like me!

the club members that I hang out with on Saturdays are almost as much fun as the flying!

ryane67 here. I have been flying planes for a season, helicopters before that. I fly at Skymasters RC in Lake Orion MI. I've got a goblin 500 a 480L and a couple small helis, this season I've decided to play with planes and I quickly decided flying in circles and small acrobatics with high wing planes was relaxing and all but I wanted more. Got an EPP edge from Value Hobby, a 3DHS 41 Edge, and I'll be building an Extreme Flight MXS64 this winter.

Good day! Proptwister (Rich) here. I'm a retired computer geek, living in a small town in southeastern Washington. As a younger man I earned a private pilot's license, but I was not able to continue the sport. Now I can indulge my love of flying in a safer, less costly way with RC. I have an Apprentice S15, and just got the Edge 41" kit to build during the winter. I use Aerofly's simulator on my Mac to practice. Its really been helpful. I belong to an RC club here called Proptwisters. We are fortunate to have our own paved landing strip, powered set-up tables, shade trees and picnic tables. I look forward to learning a lot from the members of this forum.
