1/2" sticky back Velcro only have used this method on my planes, and many of my customers planes with no issues at all.

Zip ties could easily damage the unit, I would switch that to a pc of one wrap Velcro at least.

Square of sticky back Velcro is best, the thing does not have enough mass to fly off that. I've even used just Velcro to mount receivers but tack the edges os the part stuck to the plane with thin CA.

Sticky Velcro works for most things, bigger parts need non sticky over top. The Velcro takes up a lot of vibration.
