Thanks for the great pics brother.
That’s a shame about the rain. Damn weather has been sketchy all year here in the Midwest.

Group of us looking over a little mishap where myself (gray AJ shirt), Kevin (orange), and the guy in the green next to Jase were hovering, did a 3-2-1 up, I peeled off into a waterfall, but those two kept going up and then down into a blender… and got blended! A wing made contact with a landing gear and sheared one gear leg off. Both planes flew after making contact and ultimately survived. Good times

Not sure if it was this pic or not, but soon after my metal servo arm (with a pinch screw) sheared the teeth leaving my plane in a hard over rudder. I did a circle and landed it hard after using my kill switch. Broke the prop, bent the spinner back plate, damaged the left elevator hinge. Got some work to do but it will fly again.

Alright, hear me out. I was peer pressured into getting an aeroscout. Stock on floats with a 3S 2200 I was doing 4pt rolls, knife edge, inverted, lazy rolling circles. This plane just flies well. If you put a 3 blade drone prop and some other hop ups, it becomes an animal. One guy is working on a light kit as well. Super fun.

The Aeroscout has a huge following in my area. Awesome little plane. I can’t even guess how many I’ve sold since they were released. I’ve been in the R/C business since 91 and I’ve had more first time pilots have success with the Aeroscout than any other plane I’ve sold in all those years. But at the same time I sell a lot of them to experienced pilots just cause they are so damn fun!

As for the rudder servo, I’ve seen more crashes do to tail touching than I can remember. Sold a lot of rudder servos because of them to!

Horizon was doing a Joe Nall special for $200 (just need a 3S 2200) add the floats for $35. I guess they sold out and had a guy come in with more!

I was being very gentle with the tail touch, but a gust of wind pushed the plane down and over which I think really did it in. I get why we all dip our tails into the water now!
