I've already walked out of the shop several times without turning it off since I didn't notice it running. I think every power tool I have in my shop is louder than the fan in the table.
I tried to mount an attic fan I had sitting around. It's a bit too big for this project. :-( Waist of an evening. Ended up ordering the 8" one from Harbor freight and I got 20% off!
Got a lot done tonight. I'll let the pics speak for themselves. I decided to make the filters removable from the side instead of the top.
Hopefully it works as well as yours.
Looks great so far! I had considered doing the side removal filters, but didn't want to mess with the extra cutting and framing. Plus it's one more place for air to leak, reducing the vacuum. Just make sure you make a door with a good seal for the filters. I really like how your hopper goes all the way to the floor, it will make it easier to clean the area in front of the filters when you have to clean out the inside.
