What's the word on Jase Dusia plane he was flying in the freestyle round. Saw a video where he crashed it. Looked like he might of had a flame out on his down line.

Jase's engine over heated and died while doing rollers. As he began to climb, the engine died and his airspeed was minimal.

Jase has recovered and been flying very well. Yesterday he set the pace for the Smackdown in the first 10 seconds of his routine. What an impressive guy to watch.

@gyro this picture says it all! Take a look at the covering on the belly of the fuselage. The twisting made me look further and you can see that the front of the plane is AHEAD OF THE TAIL in the roll!!! You can't time pictures like this one. It should be a reminder that if you are doing some serious hucking, make sure you are checking the joints in the airframe every now and then :) Great picture!

Nice catch, it sure is twisting. Joe Smith was having problems with his aircraft and equipment all weekend... Hope he gets it all sorted out, he left with two crashed planes.

Engine or airframe?

Two engine failures on two of the flights.
My personal guess is running too lean on too hot of day, while flying a routine with too much full throttle and too little airframe movement through the sky for cooling.
