Okay building friends I'm ready to drill hinge points in the wings. I have a straight line marked on both the aileron LE and wing TE where the hinge line is suppose to be but since it isn't centered it's a little trickier and I can't make a visual too see if the lines truely meet exact. Is there something I can put on the LE of the ailerons that when I match them up it would leave a mark on the other surface to make sure they are mateing perfect. I thought about tapeing a chalk line on there and see if it will leave a mark on the other surface but not sure it would work without snapping it. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Question. Why, generally speaking, do composite kits have pull/pull rudder and wood kits push/pull? Is it just a CG issue or is there a structural reason also?

Mostly designed that way. On my MX2 Compy, I plan on installing rudder servos in the tail, probably 4" from the tail post. That is, when I get back to moving around.

There will be a nice healthy size backer inside the fuse for the servos.

I don't care for pull/pull. Not that I can tell the difference flying. If I move the servo's to the tail its a arm change of 3 foot. The plane is designed around the old DA 150. I'm going to do the 150L so it will be tail heavy anyway. Maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into a bigger powerplant.
