Cool light set up from....My Trick RC!!!

So one day I was searching the ol interwebs for an alternative light setup for my Tamiya Toyota Tundra high-lift that I built for G6 Recon (pictured). (keep on reading for the airplane related part)

Tamiya does make a light kit for my particular truck, but at $350-$400 I decided to look elsewhere. In my search, I ran across mytrickrc.com, I watched their promo video and was hooked right then! So I ordered up a basic off-road kit, got it in the mail, as I was installing it, I learned it would do a lot more than I originally thought So I called up Dan and My Trick RC and got a few more things, like blinkers.

So on to the airplane goodies!!!................

As I was talking to Dan on the phone, he mentioned that he had a new airplane kit available.......I was impressed with the truck lights, so I didn't even hesitate on the airplane kit......I said send me one

Oh and one cool thing I forgot to mention.....one light controller does the cars, trucks, planes, etc. All 11 modes

I decided to install it on my 41"ish 3DHS Edge 540, so I laid out the kit to see what I got...........

The controller can be powered via a 9 volt battery, lipo or if you use the receiver to control the landing light, power from the receiver is back fed to the controller, no extra batteries needed.

The Kit is already setup for detachable wings, so the install is easy and clean.

Here I drilled holes where I wanted the wing strobes and red/green nav lights

I used some push rod to snake the wiring thru the wing

I also followed the same procedure to install the landing lights, I can turn them on or off via a switch on the radio.

Wing wiring done, clean install and the wiring is easy to unplug if you want to remove the wings. The plugs are color coded for each light color.
