I just used the template that came with the plane for a da100. I am using a da120.

Where did you centered the engine from top to bottom.

I centered the template on the firewall. The cowel lined up nice for me but that can be hit or mis.

Thank you for your help. I'll order the cowl and then figure it out.

My firewall only had a vertical line on it. So I centered my template on the vertical line and centered the template horizontally.

I had the top portion of the cowling and I used it as a reference and found out that from top to bottom the center of the firewall has to align with the center of the engine. You are right, thank you for your help.
