DA120 running rich?
Sounds like an oil war is brewing!!!! To be honest I've used everything under the sun and never had a problem with any engine, my string line trimmer is 24 years old and just rebuild the carb two years ago, pump gas. It gets same fuel as the planes.- TonyHallo

The skin was glued on with Gorilla glue, it sticks to everything! It's not perfect just like the real one, the alloy 3003 bends very easy. You can see the 1/8" lite ply added the firewall as well.- TonyHallo

Got to use the drum sander again on this build, put the radius in the door window opening and the aluminum for the door skin. The aluminum provides a 1/8" flange for the window. Don't use it often but it is great for radius work. Was a little worried about the .012 thick aluminum sheet but it...- TonyHallo

The Cub Hub arrived today however the adapter is drilled for a DA 100, TruTurn had little information on the Roto 85 engine, tomorrow I will send back the adapter along with the prop washer off the engine to get the correct adapter made.- TonyHallo

Got the rear stringers complete along with the 1/32" plywood roof section. Made a jig from scrap wood to hold the dash at 19 degrees, the dash is clamped straight with a 3/4" aluminum angle, once the glue dries will install the remaining 3/8" stringer that connects the dash to the firewall.- TonyHallo

When I made the wing bows for the Champ, I soaked the 1/16" basswood strips in a PVC pipe capped and filled with cleaning ammonia overnight, the strips bent very easy, once dried they were then glued.- TonyHallo

I will interested in the resolution since I have one of these kits on the shelf. I will try to fit a cowl ring on the cowl when and if I build mine. Hope you find an easy and good solution, from what I recall the cowl looked nice in the box.- TonyHallo
