    Krill Models Thunder 3D

I realize this airplane has some age to it but does anybody have one? I'm curious to hear first hand experiences with this airplane, more current experiences.

Aren't these the airplanes that make cool whistling noises when you move?

Swapping radio systems - few questions...

Futaba all the way. That radio fits in your hands absolutely glovely. Ergonomics are almost more important than a radios programming capability (not that the 14SG lacks any programming features whatsoever) because if it doesn't fit very well in your hands then it's just more of an annoyance than...

    Foamies!!!

Depends on the area. I use Foam Safe CA on most of my foamed in low stress areas such as control horns, servo mounts, carbon rod, and along the mid section of fuselage joints. I use White Gorilla Glue around high stress areas such as landing gear or motor mounts since it is an incredibly strong...

    Foamies!!!

Thats my club, and fellow pilot!!! Honestly, I flew one before and while the size factor was cool, just prepare yourself for some funny tendencies due to the short wingspan. Fun airplane to huck though.

    Throttle curve

I've found a lot of guys like to make a throttle curve that delivers the power on a linear scale, not necessarily linear inside of the transmitters programming. These are 2 stroke engines we use and with the right pipe, they will deliver power much like a 2 stroke motorcycle with an aggressive...

Safety Third Lithium battery care tips thread

As stated above I'm not the creator of the concept, merely a messenger. The point is to highlight the use of common sense rather than relying 100% on what you're told. Some batteries are really sensitive to being balance charged so i just do it with every battery. It helps to prolong the...

How did you get or come up with your user name?

I stole it from a roller coaster located in Belgium years ago.

I balance charge every time. If one cell gets even 0.2v out of balance it can begin to degrade the whole pack. This is where a lot of people end up losing their batteries.

How long do I wait ?

I've ran into the sellers side of the issue before, except I was the one who had to handle it. Life just grabs you by the cajones sometimes, patience is sometimes key...

    Extreme Flight Owners

Anybody around here have an electric EF 88" Yak? I bought mine from Ryan Archer who had an electric setup in it but i'm wanting some help setting up a different power system. I think he had an A60 series motor in it. I'm hesitant to put a gasoline engine in the airplane because it's aged a bit...

Safety Third Lithium battery care tips thread

I wouldn't mind it so long as the title does employ the Safety Third common sense campaign. The whole point of this thread is just to use common sense when handling batteries :dancing-poop:

Safety Third Lithium battery care tips thread

Another aspect of lithium batteries that does get overlooked is, "What do I do with my damaged lithium batteries and how do I dispose of them?" Everybody is going to run into some kind of issue with lithium batteries, either from them being at the end of their life cycle, or from actually...

Safety Third Lithium battery care tips thread

I'm not exactly a battery engineer and can't answer every question out there, but when a cell begins to puff up that generally means that gasses have vented inside of the sealed cell wrapper and that some kind of damage has occurred internally. Generally i find that this happens when you're...

Safety Third Lithium battery care tips thread

Since it seems like the discussion of lithium based batteries is always a topic of discussion, I figured I would bring some easy, simple how-to steps to help create a better environment for the care and handling of lithium batteries. This is based off of my decade or so of dealing with...
