    60" Laser-EXP

It was more a comment about the capes of the gyro rather than my idea of a fun flight. However, I can see how the gyros power of stabilizing the plane can allow you the help you need to push your skills to the next level, by allowing you to focus on one axis to learn at a time instead of 3.

Having some Laser envy watching @brianb fly his Laser with the Cortex in it... Hands off hovering when he wants it.

    standard and metric rant!

Since the bolt head is so wide on these, I like the loose washer itself versus the bonded. Forgot they're rubber not neoprene: http://www.trimcraftaviationrc.com/index.php?_a=product&product_id=397

    standard and metric rant!

I've used them before on a SFG that I didn't remove... Worked perfect with some loctite. To help keep them on, a small neoprene washer might work to stop them from vibrating loose. I've got A LOT of these :D

HV are nice, no regulator needed... if you use the Gecko ESC, it's got selectable output so you can use HV or regular voltage. I say go with the HV

yes, but you'll spend a lot to get ones that have enough torque. I don't recommend doing it... the XQ4013D will work perfect. Plus, it balances fine with the two standards back there.

We've flown this plane with 3 different sets of servos for some testing. The XQs we used are the 4020D. The elevators come slotted for a mini servo, and then you have to cut them out to use a standard. I like the speed listed on the 4013D's, however you MAY experience a tiny bit of blowback...

Torque Revolution 4016T/500 MKII and ZTW Gecko Series 85A SBEC 8A ESC settings?

Step 1: Put your radio on, and left stick at max. Step 2: Plug it in, wait for two beeps, lower left stick to min, two more beeps, then normal cell count beeps. Step 3: Go fly. Seriously :) ZTW works best on auto timing!

Resistance is futile.... :p I'd recommend these: http://www.buddyrc.com/glacier-35c-5300mah-6s1p.html I have both the 35c 5300 and the 45c 5000. I couldn't tell the difference... And the 5300 cost less.
