Don't stress about covering them, I'm probably overthinking the aerodynamics... And you wouldn't want to loose the cool factor!

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

In my personal opinion: without a doubt. While that doesn't mean you shouldn't buy the plane, it does mean that you should give the wings some careful attention. Eric mentions Joe above, so I'll add that Joe personally reinforced his wings... significantly. It's described in detail in the 72"...

Cool idea on the gear. Definitely made it lighter, and it really makes the gear go from ugly to attractive/ My only concern now would be the disruption in airflow over the openings causing some turbulent air to pass up towards the tail, and just create drag in general. Might be worthwhile to...

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

I was all set to get the EF 78" until I saw the $120 shipping charge on it... More than 25% of the airframe cost to shipping is not for me, I'll wait until I can pick it up at a show.

    Bavarian Demon Cortex

I'll look at that... I specifically turned off the dual rates/expo when setting up per the manual, and my EPA are at mechanical max... At least I think. I'll double check.

    Bavarian Demon Cortex

That's what I'd do normally, but normally it rolls axial. Maybe it's just me... I'm going to get Brian to fly it and see what he thinks

Seemed that for me, an aileron roll was less axial than with the gyro off...

Also, to get max throttle resolution, make sure to adjust your EPA to 150 on both sides before the above procedure, so you get more "steps" in the throttle and can use the full resolution.

Big thanks to Dan for the timely advice to put the gyro on an adjustable channel, it really made finding the sweet spot easy! Flew 5 packs and had an absolute blast. Put me down as a covert! Winds were 5-7 gusts (frequently) to 15kts, and the cortex literally made me forget I was flying a 48"...

Yes, a small amount of play is present, but it didn't appear to affect flight performance. Can you show your solution in a few pics?

Well put Robert. This is exactly why I was excited about trying a Cortex, as I feel like with my skill level, I'm the perfect person to examine how the Cortex allows me to slow things down and improve some of my skills. I also setup the 3 position switch, so I'll be able to compare and...
