Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

No problem. If you do build it please start a thread and let me know what things you do throughout the build. I could update a set of plans to reflect it for everyone One thing I thought of if your willing to go that route but I think once you get to 30cc size it’s worth it to do a foam core...

That’s awesome. I will probably print one for the 1/4 scale cub I need to rebuild.

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

Went flying at lunch with the coworker I gave a drone too and another coworker who also has one. Love the picture quality that comes off of my Mavic. These pics are from the park on site where I work. Pretty nice perk having it back there with two nice ponds to fish in.

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

Plans should be in your email. I ended up scaling to 72" span as the wing area drastically increases as its scaled. when I went to 74" span the area was up to 1400 sq in. At 72" span its at 1266 sq in which should be fine but I would recommend trimming 1/2"-3/4" off the TE of the ailerons as I...

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

Ok I will scale them in the morning and will also at least try to figure out the exact amount the ribs will need to be scaled as well and do that for you. Do you want it as a DWG or just a PDF.

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

Yes I think 10 pounds would be possible but I think up to around 12 pounds would still fly amazing on a 35cc. Your welcome to scale up the 20cc plans if you would like. I could redraw it but will be a while before I will have the time to do it. If you do scale it up I would scale it up to around...

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

Nope. I have had a couple ask for it but have never done it. Honestly I think the 55cc version I built would fly awesome off of a 35cc since it came in at just over 15 pounds with a DLE 55 on the nose.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

LOL no not me. I enjoy flying the Mavic and getting some nice video with it but I wouldn't be able to go out to the field and fly it all day long couple flights and I'm bored, though it is fun to get video of others flying. That all said I would much rather fly a plane.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

So kind of but not really in my workshop. I was giving this little drone like 3'ish years ago. Flew some and it flew decent but was a pain with some of the setup quirks like needing compass calibration every single flight. Well anyways I got a DJI Mavic Pro from a club member about 8 months ago...

Your welcome. LOL It is lots of fun when you can hit very small lift and turn it into something major.

They look like they should go flippy floppy just fine. Good work.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I have never flown the libelle but I have heard good things about it and it is a good price point. They are a little heavy for there size though (my Flitz will signal lift off of a cow fart LOL) and being foam they can't handle hard launches (Mind you I probably can't throw hard enough to break...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Best DLG advice I have for someone if you want a nice plane is to start with a 1.5M composite bird. You can find many team pilots birds from the previous year on RCG classifieds for $600 and less most times for a plane that is either RTF or just needs your RX dropped in it. I suggest 1.5M birds...

Finished the fence this weekend other than coming back in a few weeks to apply a sealer to it. I rewarded myself by cooking up a Boston Butt in the smoker all day Sunday while I was finishing up. Both the fence and the Butt turned out great.

    110" TIMBER Assembly Thread

I love a good dial indicator but the 1/64 would drive me crazy. as far as the inch system over the metric I agree the metric system is probably better but after many years in construction SAE is just burned into my brain and it hard sometimes to look at other things.
