Just let it burn off the soldering tip. I would try removing any left-over residue with some high grit sandpaper.

I know we are talking about an 89 slick but just to make sure new folks understand... this is for robart style hinges. This will not work on CA hinges you find in smaller planes.

It fits fine... Response to #1: just take one wing off. It takes two seconds to put on. #2: The 48 edge is much more manageable to fly and control than the smaller edge you are flying. It also harrier lands easily in a small space with a little practice. I would argue that the 48 edge is...

I agree with this for sure. I'd rather spend $150 on a quality small air-frame than get something cheaper that doesn't put a smile on my face or offer me the chance to gain sweet skills with solid learning platform. I have had two 48 edges and got at least 200 flights on each one. I feel like...

I honestly hope it works out well for them. I like the esc I have... It has been really solid with 2 seasons of heavy use.

That's funny right there ;) Of course I have had no personal issues with the one castle esc I have.

Re: 3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC thread Lol cheeseball... not all of us have your outlook on traveling that far ;) For me it is a matter of budget. I just can't afford the travel expense right now. Maybe later when my career is a little more established.

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

Re: 3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC thread I don't strictly keep track of the number of flights. 100 is a very conservative number. I do fly pretty aggressive 3d down low though so don't be surprised when the inevitable finally happens ;)

Cool. Good info. I would prefer it to come down a bit cooler but I would probly use a 15x6 on it. Ill keep it in mind for the next time I need a motor that size.

My list: 70" FB slick (gas) v1 51 slick (RIP) 47" edge (RIP) 48" edge Blue (RIP) 48" edge Blue (RIP)--can be rebuilt but I haven't cared enough yet. 51" slick (orange) in transit :D Do we sense a pattern here? All of the RIP planes did have at least 100 flights each before they were toast ;)

Nice review! I have had my eye on this plane for at least six months. I'm anxious to hear more about flight characteristics under "normal" circumstances. The Firepower 46 appears to be slightly lighter than the Hacker A30 12XL. Glad to hear it has good power on the 14x7. Are you planning...

How do you like the 19% pilot yak? I've had my eye on it for some time. I love the red scheme.

    Pilot RC 35% (106") Extra 260

The circuit is supposed to keep that RF noise from getting to the RX. Apparently they are reasonably successful or they wouldn't be able to continue selling their stuff for long. I am using an opto kill switch on 70" slick and it is working out great so far.
