Hi brent21, You came to the right place :D A good place to start learning about 3d is the 3dpedia. It still has some work to go but you can certainly read about a lot of moves and how to do them. You can also ask questions there that might help to clarify some of the writing that has been...

Dan there is a big DLG competition at my turf farm every year. It is coming up later this month or early next month. There are people that come from all over the country to compete in it. It is a qualifying event for a national competition. A few years ago I got them hooked up with the site...

Hey Dan, I think everyone goes through this sort of thing at one point or another. What is important is what you do with the information when someone tries to help you correct it. I personally haven't ever really been offended, but if you think you have been out of line and are correcting it...

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

It really speeds the learning process up because it allows you to process what is happening and get used to how the plane is reacting while remembering the inputs. I identified with it immediately from my musical training as a kid. When something is hard you have to slow it down and gradually...

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

When it comes down to it you just have to learn what it feels like through practice. You can experiment with more of this than that but at some point you are going to have it lock in and look smooth. Too much of any input is going to make it look irregular. Of course you have to make...

We should jump on Realflight 6.5 sometime. It would be easier if our time wasn't upside-down and backward compared to yours ;) scratch that... I just looked at a time-zone map and were are pretty close lol. I just assumed it would be wacky.

No, it is actually late timing. Early timing is more natural and tends to keep the nose up. Late timing is harder because I feel like the margin for error is smaller. Most people start out steering in the opposite direction of their aileron stick because it requires early vs. late timing...

I have been doing rollers for about 1.5 years and I still have a hard time steering to the left while having my left aileron pegged. That is a really tough trick to get the hang of for sure.

3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics

In accounting there are some things that we don't worry about because the cost of measuring and reporting outweighs the benefit. I think worrying about the sparks sort of fits in this category for flying. I figure you are going to be able to let it spark hundreds of times before the connector...

I got a couple flights today in a t-shirt and shorts. Just before sunset with the new orange 51 slick. It is a pleasure to fly... even more now that I have a good centering servo on the elevator.

Sweet, let us know if you need any pointers on that pull-pull setup. The first one I did was a major pain. Now I can do it in about 10 minutes.
