Looks great! Id like to see methodoligy for setting that bell crank up to have a good fit with the cowl like that along with any identified pitfalls to avoid.

Yes indeed! That is why I like purchasing from vvrc as they do it for you for free. They also usually have the prop I need in stock :)

I do it the same at vvrc. I suppose if you wanted to have a wide margine of error... make it between 1:30 and 2:30. I dont like the mechanics of flipping a prop at 3:00.

I only partially agreed. I no longer feel safe at 3:00. Just a personal thing I guess. Just remember that the difference between 2:00 and 3:00 is 30 degrees. To me that is significant enough to make a distinction.

Akf I agree that deadsticks ought to be a consideration for how to drill a prop, but I feel the consideration of safe flipping is paramount. As aronph mentioned, I want my prop to be drilled for good starting. I find that 2:00 is optimal for me to be able to give a nice solid flip and get my...

Try changing the extension? Its a stretch but worth trying. Im not sure why extending the signal wires would cause a problem but a better quality of wire/connection might make a difference. Im inclined to agree more with the idea of it being voltage related. You did not extend any other...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Im confused by the pitch speed... and are we talking static thrust and rpms? My dle 35 turns around 8000 rpms on the ground with a 19x8 xoar beechwood. But I have data showing that the flat wot speed of my plane is 94 mph. I obtained that from gps data from my smartphone strapped to the canopy.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

The low 8000 number seems much closer to reality. I am getting right around 8000 without a pipe on a xoar 19x8. Would a pipe add over a thousand rpms on a bigger prop?
