    That's tricky... Usually: 450=3s 500=6s 550=6s 600=12s 700=12s or 14s I guess you could run the 500 on a 4s pack. It wouldn't have TONS of power, but I'm sure it would be enough... Tada...Protos 500 calls for a 4s 3700mah or a 6s 2500mah. Sounds like a perfect match...

    Nope! You can run 7.4v straight to the receiver, or through a switch of some sorts. I use a 7.4v (unregulated and without a BEC) straight to the receiver. Most receivers are rated up to 12v.

    +1,000. I use a separate 2s 2200mah battery. It helps when your battery pack flys through the canopy (Don't ask me how I know this :D)

    I have the Hacker A50-12L on 6s 5300mah with a 20x10 prop and the Castle 85HV. It has plenty of power to pull out of a hover. I would go for the Hacker A60-6xs and the ICE 100 on 6s. That will be perfect, and produce more power than the A50-12L

    8s pulls less amps :) I think 6s is plenty for a 30cc plane. 8s just makes it heavier.

    Always thought they were the same. Cool, EPBuddy is closer to me anyway. Cheaper too, plus they come with those balance wire protectors :) I just got some 2s 2200mah for my helicopter and 6s 5300mah for my 74" Edge. :cool:
