    Discussion Gas vs. Electric

I have been going through this same dilemma. settled on a 60" electric. I can get it in the air quick as it is early in the season. Then I am going to add a 30-50cc gasser. I did this so I am not chomping at the bit with getting the gasser in the air. I can take time get it running great...

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

My 47" shp has the sh-0257 on 6v with stock arms 5085 on elevator. I have beat the snot out of that one. I originally had them in a 3dhs epp yak on all surfaces. Silly fast and fun. I just saw a video of the speed of the rjx servos. :veryshocked:

Being it was 10 deg the other night, 55 is shorts weather! Still 6" of ice in my driveway and 3-4 ft of icey snow on the sides.

Doh! I did not catch that, I am sorry. I thought you pulled out the out Torque. I agree the Motrolfly are gnarly. I even have one on my little foamy. But I would not have pulled the torque just to replace it. I was like "whaaaa?". Lol That is what I get half reading stuff aying on my...

Awesome! Very interesting info on a possible new servo. The straw for me last night was watching a video of a guy flying a 60" laser. Just a normal guy just sunday flyin'. It looked so cool in the air. I already have seen all the vids of people wringing them out. Something struck me...

Geeked! Get this one done and then going gas. Thanks for all the help guys! I know servos make the plane for sure.

Red! Had to go red. Planning on motrolfly and ZtW Gecko. 6s 3300? Servo choice sounds like 7245's are the only solid choice? My logic is get the 60 and fly. Then build gasser and take my time and enjoy the learning curve.

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

Well, I am still undecided. It seems to me right now a 60" electric might be my ticket. I really do want something bigger. Gas makes much more sense once you get to the 70" range imho from what I have learned. I do still think I will wait until after Toledo to hammer this out. You never know...

    Lipo Battery Charging

I have been looking at upgrading my charger and start parallel charging. All of the above is true. My quick take is: 1. All the same cell count. 2. Capacity and c-rating mean nothing. You must however charge withing the range of you lowest capacity/C rated pack when setting amperage. 3.Voltage...

What Savox is typically ran in a 72" plane? I like fast servos. I have had a lot of fun with my supper fast SH-257 in my 48's aileron an elevator. The XQ do seem to be better than a lot of "Cheap" servos.
