looking good Dell; the mod to fit the OS GT 33 will be well worth it. I know the control horn issue is frustrating, but you are correct, you don't want to fly a plane this size on half a control horn...not a good plan ;) My OS GT 33 in my 71 Slick is throwing that plane around the sky like a...

Because these were added to an earlier post, I'm not sure many people saw them, so I'm reposting them here just to be sure. These night pilots did a fantastic job and I want to ensure they are seen. If you've already seen them, just skip to the next post; otherwise, enjoy :D Wamsy's night...

New 20cc Profile coming by the end of July--65" Extra 330

sweet!!! really liking the look of those - I think the orange with checkerboard is my favorite scheme of the three. Stick a DLE-20 on one of these and go! :D

Some of our club members are convinced that we need a mat at our field. I'm not so sure it is worth the maintenance. I'll be interested to hear from you how this goes...weeds coming through, holding up to weather, etc. Looks like it was a lot of work so far, but that sure is a smooth and flat...

    3DHS 71" Slick (gas) with OS GT33

yes, I think the 30cc size range is a very good first gasser setup. As you said, money wise this size is easier to fund. and you can't go wrong with a Slick, if you can find one! thanks for the compliments; I'm going to put some decals on it today and hope to fly again tomorrow, maybe I'll...

limited landing area. How big can I get away with?

I was thinking the same thing as Sam...use the area to the right of the pond as either your approach or your landing area. I think I would try taking off from that area to the right of the pond, out over the field, and then land the same way. Seems like you have plenty of rollout if you go...
