Was a nice 85*F today. Got 4 more flights in on the Yak, 8 total this weekend. Looks like my Secraft pump developed a bit of a leak without my knowing and caused the insulation on the input wires to peel off. The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread
Put the servo back in the Multiplex Rockstar I pulled out the other day, good as new. And finally got the Multiplex Wingstabi all setup and dialed in, ready for a test run tomorrow. All batteries charged, just need to load up and roll out!!!- Xpress

What is the max number of channels generally needed for giant scale?
9 channels seems to be sufficient for most any giant scale airplane up to 40% if you want a dedicated channel for every servo. Technically, you could get away with using a simple 5 channel radio and a servo matching system, but you'd be limited with the functions you can use. There's guys in...- Xpress

Did a little surgery on the Multiplex Rockstar tonight, elevator servo was acting a little funny. I think I biffed it when the wind caught it on landing on Sunday, going to get it checked out tomorrow.- Xpress

Me personally, I don't use them. I have seen every single electronic killswitch fail out there, from the cheapies all the way up to the high end 'fail-on' style switches, and they always seem to fail right at the worst possible instance. It's almost a catch 22 though. Risk losing control over...- Xpress

In this instance..... My servo was at full throttle as I was climbing up through a rolling loop :eek::eek::eek::eek: Somehow, I was able to reestablish power to the receiver just long enough to get the airplane on approach and kill the engine, as soon as I touched down I saw the other half of...- Xpress

I have the left side of the airplane on the left receiver, and the right side of the airplane on the right receiver. Since I run dual rudder servos in a tray, I run one rudder servo on each receiver, so I can at least maintain some level of control in the event one receiver loses link or shuts...- Xpress

Yeah I'm kind of stumped as to what the issue could be with those servos. I'm still kind of going back and forth with him on that. I would like to update this, I am now running a pair of Maxima 9 receivers, one for each side of the airplane.- Xpress
