    Wow - those flaps look very sturdy! Really like the pics, thanks for posting. How big are the ailerons as compared to the flaps? Your LG tri-stock reinforcement is also very nice.

    That is a very good question...the plywood internals are fairly thin, and I can imagine this might be what failed. What do you think is the best way to determine this from a post-mortem examination of the airframe?

    Very nice spinner gap for sure! you might want to mention the length of the standoffs for others benefit? Also, can you show some pics of the air exit area so we can see how you handled that part of the venting?
