    2.75 x 25.4 =69.85, should be fine.

    Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

I used a glass cutter to cut the glass, very easy to do. All of my scales were cut to length.

I pulled the trigger on a 5" magnetic scale, hopefully it will work with my display. I will need to rewire the plug because my display uses a different pinout. With a little luck the 6" chuck will clear, if not I will gain 1" of travel, the glass scale is 2 1/4" while the magnetic is 1 1/4"...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

That seems like quite a bit of power for a scale Taylorcraft. The 1/3 scale JTEC Taylorcraft spans 112", engine size recommended is 50 to 100 cc.

Looks good, so the ways were cut with a chamfer end mill?

    Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

Built this mechanism for the power feed on my mill x axis. The power feed was made from a windshield wiper motor, 15 volt 20 amp power supply and a pulse width dc motor controller. An 1 1/8" socket is used to engage and disengage the feed, it slides on a half inch piece of key stock fitted on...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Just got back from Clearwater, didn't spend any time at the ball park however the hotel where we stayed was loaded with Philly fans. Did manage to drink a few beers!

Does the kit provide a list of tooling needed?

You have seen my install and all I can say it is very rarely that interference is an issue, only when I use the 6" four jaw chuck. I'm thinking about a 5" four jaw that the cross slide scale will fit under. Vevor has a 5" 3 jaw for $82 plus I will need a 6" adapter plate for $70.

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

The Roto 85 is about 2 3/4 pounds heavier than the OS 320, if you had an idea how the balance will come out it may help you make an informed decision. The other point to consider is power, I'm swinging a 26x8 prop at 6000 at WOT, normal flight is in the 4600 to 4800 rpm range. The listed prop...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Me too! Three different Ebay orders arrived yesterday, a hex ER32 collet holder, the ER16 collet set to fill out the missing sizes, and 5 ER32 collet nuts. I need four more nuts to complete the ER32 set so that I will not need to change the nuts, there are a few collets in the set that are a...

One piece at a time, before you know it', it will be done. Did you start with a number 4 taper pin?

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

I would cover the wings, it will break up the monotony of doing the finish tapes. I find I get better tapes if I blot the excess off the top of the tape rather than wipe it. What are you planning for the stitches?
