None of the lower fuse is sheeted, but it is nice and flat. I've mentioned to Tim about trying some sheeting on future models, at least from the gear forward. We'll see :) The CF stringers are either solid or square tube, but definitely 100% carbon. From what I can see, the outer extend the...

Installed 1.75" all around. Elevators on the 1.75" have full deflection, same for ailerons on 1.5 hole

Back to the build :) Installed the beautiful wheel pants. They're made of plastic, not fiberglass. While this makes them more durable and resistant to damage, they also flex a little more, so the paint is more likely to chip. I'll probably remove them after the maiden and photo day at my...

It compares favorable IMHO. I've had both, and I honestly like the sturdy and rigid case of the RCCSKJ better. Add in the display, and you're set for half the price. The built in OPTO kill isn't as convenient to use, however I prefer the tech aero anyway, so that's what I use. With 7 brushless...

For all the flights that I had Savox in my 104, I had a single SB-2231 on the rudder. Worked perfect. Just my advice, but on a big plane like this, I personally like a power box. Wolverine is perfect for 50-60cx (where I have them). I'm using a RCCSKJ Power Board on my 104 and it works...

I've got some in hand, still debating placement location and which plane. To be honest, I've got a bit of a connection with the original design ;) On my small planes, I do three 15 min flights with one 2600. On the bigger planes, I get four or five 12 minute flights with two of them. Number...

The Hitec brushless series don't need signal boosters. I've got about a years worth of flying on mine, with no issues. I got mine before they started including the cool capacitors, and I even used them with a powersafe rx (granted, I had a fromeco DCUP installed) Either way, I think they're...

    Redwing RC 30cc (76") Extra 330sc

Got the rudder installed, as well as the landing gear. I decided to use a different tail gear spring, as the included one (while perfectly fine) was a little bigger/heavier than necessary for a 30cc IMHO. I had a different one, so I used it. It and the wheel were the only pieces I swapped...

I've heard good things about those servos, but I also know my Hitec HSB-9370TH are just as nice :)

If you're going to go savox, throw some 2231 on the elevators too. Lotsa torque is nice. If you were going Hitec, I'd recommend the same stuff I just put into my 104" extra: 4x HS-7954SH on ailerons, and 3x HS-7950TH on elevators and rudder. Gp123 is awesome, love mine! 29x9W is obscene. :D

Wings and stabs epoxied together and control horns installed. The painted black horns that Redwing provided look great on the black covering. I tape off a small square around the control horn, and then peel back when the epoxy is mostly set. This leaves a clean and finished look. Don't...

Nothing in the Extra wings, 50cc or 30cc Maybe bbrown2828 or Jwmav528 can speak to their 50cc and 30cc Slicks. For the 30cc Extra, the changes for V2 (available now) Carbon fiber stringers Lengthened fuse for better balance/precision High contrast underside scheme anything else RedwingRC?
