I think Santiago was saying it's closer to 12lb with a 50cc, and it flies light. Maybe 13-14lb with a 12s 5000 setup.

    New 78" Extra 330sc!

It's a very nice scheme. I have been on them trying to get them to keep it since they don't have any modern green airplanes in their lineup yet!!!!

Very nice Mike. Ray and Santiago are two world class guys so we're ecstatic that they've taken the reigns to the Aerobeez team.

Cool Charging cases!!! What are you guys using?????

This is one I put together last year. It has provisions for both 12v and 24v power outputs and is capable of 69 amps of current. Has 2, 12v 69a PC supplies inside of it that have a series connection to make 24 volts, plus a high velocity fan on the side to suck out the warm air. I...

    Xpress does a BANSHEE build...

New airplane parts are comfortably at home, now I just need to find the missing sleep from this weekend and then get crackin' on putting the fuse back together. Hoping the rebuild is quick since I basically just bolt everything to the fuselage, already know where parts have to go :)

    Pilot RC 107" Extra 330SC

Yeah I really don't know why he needs so many servos, especially the 9380's. But it's his airplane, if he feels he needs then then rock on :banana-dance: All that matters is if we show up to fly then he better be out there throwing down too! :oblong::yesss:

    Servos Locked Up

It's just another option, plus a small LiFe battery won't weigh much. You could also use like a Castle 10 amp BEC to power the servos. Just removes the additional load from the ESC and gives you a lot more power for the servos.

It's here it's here!!!! All fixed up and ready to go back into the airplane :) Looks like I may be acquiring the rest of my parts this weekend, shouldn't be terribly long until we're airborne again!!!

Joe, what, do you want to break the rudder off mid-flight? That thing is gonna MOVE when you tell it to :yesss::D

    Servos Locked Up

Or since you're using 5245's, just use a 6.6v LiFe battery to your receiver. I probably wouldn't rely on an integrated BEC in an airplane that size anyways..

    NEW AEROBEEZ 78" Slick 540!!!

The 70 would be too much power, it would do more harm than good. The 91" Slick gets yanked around like a rag doll in the jaws of a viscous pit with the 70 on the nose. It probably also won't fit as it just fits comfortably in the 91" cowl.
